Nodar Kumaritashvili was clocked at 144.3 km/h heading into the final 270-degree turn of his training run when he hit one side of the wall, crashed into the other, and was hurled off the track and into a metal support pole.
The crash occurred at 10:46am on the outrun of a turn named Thunderbird near the end of the track.
Track medical staff immediately rushed to the scene and administered CPR before rushing Kumaritashvili to the local hospital. Training was delayed after the accident, and race officials say there will be a hold on the track until further notice
Kumaritashvili's crash was one of several on the day.
Earlier Friday, reigning Olympic luge gold medallist Armin Zöggeler of Italy managed to walk away after crashing in his first run, but came back to complete a clean second run.
There have been more than a dozen crashes during Olympic training this week.
The Whistler track is the fastest, and considered the most dangerous luge course, in the world.

When We Were Smooth and Innocent / Lamebook Thieves
I knew this fellow in Elementary school. Michael Ratynski knew him as well. I remember i got my first detention because i kicked him in the face. We were playing Toy Story and he was Rex and i was Buzz Lightyear. Rex was losing his shit dinosaur style, to the point where it was rather uncharacharistic of him. I though Buzz Lightyear would do something about it. He would in his matter of being. He would not allow for such behavior. I swung in and crushed his skull with my booties. Or at least as i remember it. There is a good chance i didn't hit his face at all. Anyway, long story short: Casey Paul ratted me out to the teacher because he was being a little shit face, thus busting my vulnerable detention hymen.

rza on parks & rec
i was really out of it when i told some of you about this^^, post-cigarette outside my house in the driveway at 2am, and i bet half of you either didnt understand the words coming out of my mouth, didnt believe them, or simply found them too good to be true. frankly i didnt even know what i was talking about. the way this all started, (RZA auditioning for parks & rec) was ?uestlove from the roots made a funny comparison on the cast of parks and the wu-tang clan, and nailedit. it spread the internet like polio on a swedish and funny or die brought the fantasy somewhat into fruition. here it is. its fuckin hilarious.
