calling all palls of the sweet variety.

If anybody who happens to read this happens to be interested in Akron/Family in any little way, I urge you to e-mail both of these sources pleading that Akron/Family be brought to the Winnipeg Folk Festival between July 9-12:

info@winnipegfolkfestival.ca
Himmelfarb@billions.com (Akron's booking agent in Canada)

This would give both me, and humanity great pleasure. Hopefully we can make some noise. Here's what i wrote:

Hello both Folk Festival infopersons, and Akron/Family booking agent,

It has recently come to my attention that Akron/Family will be playing at the Calgary folk festival, which takes place July 23rd to the 26th. With this in mind, i have been thinking it wouldn't be completely unreasonable to entertain the notion of Akron/Family playing our very own Winnipeg, Manitoba Folk Festival between July 9-12.

I am e-mailing both of you each others' e-mail addresses in the hypothetical situation that this could be arranged in any way. I know many people from Winnipeg who share the same feelings with me when i say that Akron/Family are one of the greatest bands to ever exist. At least in recent years. I know that they have a fan base here, and would fit right into the Folk Festival experience here. To see this band live would be a dream come true, and i truly hope that this arrangement could be a possibility.
Thank you very much,
